Bank of America - A Rant!!!

I got a call from some guy tonight who did a very poor job of identifying himself, telling me that my last payment to BoA had been rejected by my bank as an unkown account. Bad to the extent that I hung up on him thinking he was trying to jack my identity.

I went online to find that I was locked out of my account because I was delinquent. . . OK, sure that makes A LOT OF SENSE!!!. . .NOT!!

I spent the next 2 1/2 hours talking to incompetent morons, in between being put on hold for 15 minutes at a time. They changed my logon ID, password, account number, shoe size, phone number, my Mother's maiden name, my Father's Draft Board status (He's 77). . . and my Sister's bra cup size (is there really AAAA cup?). . . Still, no access to my account. . . And they got pissy with ME because I was being "uncoopertive!!!!"

When I finally got someone on the phone who could actually get anything straight, I told her I wanted to talk to a manager that could explain why this all happened. . . She started to give me an 800 number to call. . . No, I want someone to call ME and explain WHY they employ IDIOTS!!!! WHY I wasted 2 1/2 hours of MY time trying to find ANYONE who knew what the FUCK they were doing!!!

Through all of this, I had to keep telling people to speak up so I could hear them, since they seem to think that pushing their headsets aside and mumbling will somehow make me go away so they can get back to playing Solitaire. . . ASSHOLES!!!

If I did business this way, I would be living in a cardboard box on the side of the freeway. . . (insert your favorite Yellowdog Granny "Fuck Me" quote here. . . .). . .

End of rant. . .

The Cat Farted. . . Honest!!! . . .

. . . At least that's what I'd have told anyone coming to my door tonight.

I came home today to be nearly knocked over by a foul smell in my house when I opened the door. I knew it wasn't natural gas, but it was equally nasty. I knew it couldn't be the trash, since I never put anything in the can that could stink. So, I immediately assumed CC had been eating something he shouldn't. . . No good either, since I control his food supply and he never goes outside.

After a few minutes, it finally dawned on me that I hadn't checked the floor drains in the laundry room and furnace/water heater closet lately. . . Sure enough, both had gone dry, allowing sewer gas to back up into my house. . . EEEEWWWW!!!!! GAG!!!!!!

After dumping water and bleach down both drains, I opened all of the windows. . . Screw the fact that it's 20 degrees F outside, I was ready to toss my cookies!!!! I also lit 3 of my black cherry candles in various rooms and it's starting to smell a little better in here. . .

New addition to my weekly Outlook calendar. . . "Add water to floor drains. . ."

I hate Mondays!!!!

Schools Closed??????

To quote Yellowdog Granny. . . FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

I flipped on the news this morning while I was waking up to find that almost every school district in SE Michigan was closed. . . Did we get 8 inches of snow last night???. . . NO. . . Did the water system suddenly shut down???. . . NO. . . Was there a massive power outage???. . . NO. . .

It was cold. . . WTF???? Yes, it was too cold to have the schools open. . . It went down to -4* F last night. . . I'm sorry, but they didn't close my job today, they didn't shut down the roads. . . It's cold, DEAL WITH IT!!!

Are our kids that soft that we have to close the schools because it's cold?? What's next . . We close the schools every time it rains??? GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK!!!! If the little darlings can't put on a coat, hat and gloves, they have far greater problems than the temperature. . .

And the school closings are already piling up for tomorrow. . . It's going below zero again tonight. . . Who the fuck is running this horror show anyway???

Get a grip people, it's winter in Michigan. . . It's cold. . . Deal with it!!!

My Name Is Lauren And I'm. . .

. . . an HGTV addict. . .

Yes, it's true. . . I watch HGTV more than anything else on TV. . . My remote thinks I'm cheating when I go to The Food Channel or watch the local news. . . People call me and ask what's on HGTV right now, because they know I can answer correctly every time.

It started innocently enough. . . I was looking for ideas to decorate my condo. . . It felt really good when I saw something that jumped out at me. I was able to apply things I learned and have become pretty good at color coordination. . . OOOHH!! The colors. . .

But, I started catching myself tuning in just to see what Joan Steffand could create with $500.00 in one day on "Decorating Cents". . . Watching "Divine Design" not only for the ideas, but to see how big Candice's tummy was getting while she was preggers. . . Watching "Designing for the Sexes," just to see what ugly shit Michael Payne would show people before showing them the perfect compromise. . . "Mission: Organization" just to see what filthy hell-hole they'll clean up next. . . "Designed to Sell," just to see what people let happen to their homes. . . EEWW!!. . . I watch "I Want That," because I really DO want that. . .

There may be no hope for me. . . I've got a ladder on my back. . . I need my fix. . .

Gotta run, it's time for "reDesign". . . Kenneth Brown is just cute as hell. . . .

It's a damned good thing the DIY channel is pay-per-view. . .
