Working Sunday and Name Games
Well, the two hours I was supposed to work today turned into 4 1/2. Most of it standing out in the sun on concrete. . . I'm sunburned and my feet are killing me. My reward? A really bad Mexican buffet. Payment? HAH!! I'm salaried. . . "Thank you for helping out and don't be late tomorrow morning. . . . GRRRRR!!!. . . I managed to see the last 8 laps of the NASCAR race at Sonoma. . . I hated seeing that little shithead in the 24 car win. . . BOO!!!! HISS!!!! I was hoping Texas Terry could get the pass done, but no. . . Mr. B Y Gun said something in his comment to my last entry that gave me a great idea for a blog game. . . One of our local radio DJs has a standard question he asks any time he does an interview with a celebrity. It's really simple and the results can be hilarious (or not). He maintains that everyone has a porn star name. Here's how it works: Take the name of your first childhood pet and the name of the street you grew up on as a child. That is your porn star name. . . . . I'll go first. . . My porn star name is: Tippy Lahring Some of you who had multiple pets and moved one or more times can enter as many as you want. I'm looking forward to your entries!!!
Time to get ready for our City's Freedom Festival Fireworks show. I can watch it from my patio since it's just 3 blocks away. . . The big Motown Fireworks is this Wednesday night. One of the biggest shows in the country. Since over 1 million people go downtown for that event, I watch it on TV. . . No way you'll get me in a crowd that big. . . HUGGSS!!
UPDATE: The fireworks display was outstanding for a small community like ours (pop. 11,000 ) although there was a 5 minute gap in the middle, apparently due to technical problems. Awesome finish!!! The shells were literally going off over our heads. . . Hope y'all have a great night!!!
